WEST MEMORIAL SWIM TEAM PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
Purpose: In an effort to make the swim team experience a happy, memorable time, we want to promote the best possible conduct of all West Memorial Swimmers and Parents at practice, swim meets, and other team functions, and to create the best possible individual and team impressions.
PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT:
At all practices, meets, and swim team events at the pool, we have a zero tolerance policy on the following:
Any violations of alcohol, drugs, weapons, smoking, profanity or bullying willresult in immediate removal of the entire family from the swim team without arefund.
NOTE: Please understand that if any of the rules in the Parent and Swimmer Code of Conduct are broken, swim privileges and visitors privileges may be revoked atthe discretion of the coaches and or WMST Board Membersincluding not only temporary but possible permanent suspension with no refundsgiven.
MISSION: WMST is a 501(3)(c) non-profit recreational swim team competing within the West Houston Aquatic League (WHALe). The team is led by parent volunteers and a paid coaching staff. WMST is a summer swim team; its mission is to provide recreational and competitive youth swimmers with an opportunity to enhance personal fitness, improve swim stroke technique, cultivate a sense of teamwork, make friends, and have fun!
Swimmers bring their best attributes to WMST – and one of those is YOU! The Parents of the WMST are the most important people needed to run a swim meet and other WMST activities during our short summer swim season. WMST has a great reputation for meets that run smoothly and that is only accomplished by having our wonderful parents working at each meet.
Parent Volunteer Requirements – How It Works:
WMST's hope is that you will view your volunteer obligation as an opportunity to serve and support your children; help their friends and teammates to have a wonderful experience and the opportunity to participate, and to carry on a tradition of excellence and hospitality that WMST members and their families are known for!
Each swimmer (family) must provide a parent/guardian to assist in the general operation of the swim meets, both home and away, at least five (5) times during the swim season to earn two volunteer credits per meet for a total of (10) volunteer credits. (Car wash and end of season banquet volunteer points do not count towards your 10 credits. If your child does not attend the meet then you are not required to get points at that meet.)
We have found it necessary to implement a volunteer system, consistent with neighboring swim teams within our WHALe organization. This year the WMST will be asking for a $200.00 volunteer commitment from each family at the time of registration, the cost to find a paid employee to cover your commitment. If for some reason your family is unable to fulfill your volunteer requirements, the monetary volunteer commitment will be assessed at the end of the season. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed and considered by the WMST Board, upon your proactive request only.
Volunteer Duties are listed in detail on the website. You are not limited to choosing the same volunteer duty every time; please note, however, that you are not guaranteed placement in the duty of your choosing although we will make every effort possible to honor your request.
Any parent or guardian of a swimmer who qualifies for the Meet of Champions or All Star Meet will be expected to additionally volunteer at those meets.
We greatly appreciate all our wonderful parents that have volunteered for many years and continue to provide such awesome service to our team. WMST wants to maintain our reputation for hosting well-run meets with kind, considerate and helpful volunteers. We know that with your assistance, our swim team will have one of our best seasons yet!

RE: West Memorial Tigersharks Swim Team Registration in conjunction with the PFMA
I understand that the registration of my children to swim on the West Memorial Tigersharks swim team
is contingent on my being current with my West Memorial Association dues.
I understand that the attached registration will be reviewed by a representative of the Homeowner’s

fees and forms will be held until formal approval is provided.
I authorize the West Memorial Association to release my current year status (in good standing/not in
good standing) to the West Memorial Tigersharks as a condition for team registration and use of West
Memorial Civic Center facilities during official West Memorial Tigersharks events.
At no time will any of my personal information (delinquency/payment arrangements/etc.) be shared
with a member of the swim team Board of Directors, other than my status for purpose of registration.
This section is for those who do NOT live in West Memorial

1 Child = $45.00

3 Children or More = $75.00
This fee allows each registered swim team child in a family to use the pool facilities during swim team practice, meets, car washes and awards banquet only. This fee does not allow the non resident child to use the pool during open pool hours.
